The maurices, McCalla, AL store held its annual Rescues & Runways event benefiting T-Town PAWS pet rescue efforts. The event, which was accompanied by a month-long pet supply drive, was kicked off by a successful live auction with proceeds being donated to T-Town PAWS. PAWS hosted a mini pet adoption event outside the store during the “Runway” event, featuring adoptable “Rescues” - T-Town PAWS puppies and kittens.

Rescues & Runways is a national campaign created by maurices, in partnership with the ASPCA® American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and local animal shelters/animal rescue groups.   In its second year, the goals of this program have remained the same: to increase awareness of animal shelters, in turn, increasing pet adoptions through pet-themed fashion shows.  More than 750 maurices locations across the U.S. host fashion shows along with raising supply and cash donations for our forever friends!

T-Town PAWS thanks maurices in McCalla for raising $602.48 and tons of animal care supplies – food, treats, dog bowls, blankets, and more – to support PAWS' pet rescue efforts.

TALIA kicked off the show. Talia is the mother of three children, enjoys shopping and is pursuing her Masters in Technology Education. She wore a maurices gray turtleneck, belted sweater dress that features a mock style hem. Talia rocked the outfit in a maurices high-heeled tall shaft black boot. She completed the Alabama Crimson Tide game day look when she carried a maurices Shiny Bow Tie purse in crimson.

Here we see MAHOGANEY, who is a singer/songwriter with Royal Blue Entertainment. Her new CD, called My Heart to Yours, will be released on September 24, with downloads available on October 5. Mahoganey wore a pair of maurices dark Vigoss skinny jeans. She was definitely ready for fall in a maurices long sleeve open neck cable sweater featuring two large buttons attached with lops. A maurices bright pink lace cami accented the multi-color of the sweater.

STACY was showcased next. Stacy loves spending time with her husband and two children. Stacy shows her elegant looks with a pair of maurices deep gray pants with subtle plaid design. She chose a lace cami in crimson under a very beautiful maurices long sleeve black jacket with front ruffle collar and tie closure. A maurices double strand pearl necklace complimented the look that was ready for dinner after an Alabama Crimson Tide win.

Here we see KELSEY, who is part of the color guard at her school and loves shopping. Kelsey wore a maurices short khaki shirt with tie front and brown crinkle lace cami. She completed her fun look with a maurices beige hooded sweater that features a zip front and adorned with antique gold buttons.

APRIL enjoys spending her spare time horseback riding and shopping. Here we see April in a pair of maurices denim jeggings. She topped them off with a brown lace cami under a maurices cream lace tiered tunic tank. A maurices brown short sleeve sweater shrug and pointed-toe chocolate flats complete the outfit.

Here we see ANNALEE, who enjoys going to the movies, shopping, and playing with her puppy, Bella. She is a cheerleader and plays softball. AnnaLee wore a pair of maurices black pindot pants with matching short sleeve jacket from the Work to Ware Department. When paired with a maurices crimson cap sleeve blouse with drape neck, she would certainly turn heads walking one of T-Town PAWS adoptable dogs on the University of Alabama Quad. Her look is finished with a pair of maurices mid heel low open side shoes.

KATIE plays the clarinet, enjoys reading, being outside, and is the daughter of the last model. She sported a fun look in a maurices crimson, purple and cream plaid button up shirt, featuring roll-up sleeves. She wore his over a crimson lace cami and a pair of maurices Vigoss denim jeans with shite-back pocket detail stitching.

AMANDA was featured next. Amanda enjoys listening to music and reading. She looked awesome in a pair of maurices Hydraulic Dark Denim Stretch Jeans that feature adorned, studded pockets. Amanda paired the jeans with a maurices cream satin-trimmed tunic topped with a flowing black cape shrug featuring a corded back for an elegant effect. A pair of maurices short shoe boots with back bow complete her look.

Next was Amanda’s mother, KELLIE, who enjoys cooking and collects salt and pepper shakers. Kellie looked very sporty in skinny denim leggings with a maurices lace and beaded embellished cami under a rose and brown plaid button up shirt. Kellie completed the look with a maurices faux suede black Kasta boot.

Next we see METTISH, who is a full-time student at Samford University in Birmingham majoring in psychology. She has a three year old daughter, Julia, who she loves taking on long walks. Mettish wore a pair of maurices dark denim dressy Vigoss jeans. They are paired with a maurices lavender short sleeve knit top with attached shoulder ruffle. The gray vest with black trim buttons and pocket detail complete her sophisticated look.

KELLY loves to shop till she drops, and hangs out with her friends. She likes playing basketball and softball, loves the beach and being pampered. Kelly was super-cute in a pair of maurices khaki pants featuring double yoke pockets. She chose a maurices deep chocolate crinkle lace cami worn under a watercolor print tee. A maurices sleeveless sweater vest, with tab front, completed her fun look.

Next was KAYLA, who loves to go horseback riding on her horse, Belle. Kayla wore a pair of maurices two-button khaki pants with a teal and purple print tee. When a maurices aqua long vest, featuring heart swirls of aqua and maroon was added, the outfit was a hit.

WENDY was the next model. She loves spending time talking with family and friends and is the proud mother of Katie, one of the models. Wendy chose a pair of maurices Taylor boot jean in the light denim wash. To compliment her sport look, Wendy modeled a maurices woody v-neck print tee under a brown sweater cardigan featuring ¾ length sleeves.

Next was MORGAN, who likes mud riding and listening to Miranda Lambert. She made a hit and was hot in a pair of maurices dark denim skinny jeggings. When paired with a maurices deep green crinkle lace cami and large brown buckle belt under a long ruffle tunic cardigan in tan, Morgan was smokin’. Add a pair of maurices Rachel sloch-buckle boots and Morgan was ready for a night out.

JANIE likes to shop, play Bunco, and hang out with her family. Janie is wearing a pari of maurices dark flare bottom dress Vigoss jeans. She wore a crimson lace cami under a short sleeve black gathered top featuring a medallion center. Janie was ready for dinner or Alabama Crimson Tide game day.

Now we see NATALIE, who is a member of her school’s color guard. She enjoys computers, swimming, makeup, and, of course, fashion. Natalie was a show-stopper in a pair of maurices new straight leg black stretch Vigoss jeans with studded stones as detail on the back pockets. She was elegant in a maurices iridescent halter top with hues of camel, black, and gray.

CHRISTINE was the next beauty. Shopping is one of her favorite past times and she was ready for shopping in a pair of maurices Tuesday-cut silver jeans. Again we saw the look of the Alabama Crimson Tide with a crimson camisole under a maurices ¾ length sleeve tab button-front tunic cardigan.  It's perfect for walking a T-Town PAWS adoptable dog on the University of Alabama Quad!

Christine’s older sister, SAMANTHA, was the next model. Samantha loves to shop, especially at maurices. She was decked out in a pair of maurices flare-cut Vigoss jeans that feature thick white logo stitching on the back pockets. She showed off one of maurices latest tunic pieces featuring an empire V-neck cut. Over this, she wore a maurices versatile sweaters hat offered short cuffed sleeves, a draw string tie, and large fashion buttons.

JEANNETTE was the next model. She enjoys camping, planning special events, and selling Premier jewelry. Jeannette wore maurices latest Studio Y fashion tunic in a black and white screen printed design with attached rhinestone flower pin. A maurices baby pink cami really added romance to the top. Jeannette paired the outfit with a pair of maurices light gray dress pants.

ASHELY is a member of the Pre-Law Association and loves shopping, dancing, and University of Alabama football games. She sported a maurices “Studio Y” tunic with a casual flair, paired with a pair of maurices straight leg Vigoss Jeans and gray Riva cut bootie.

KATIE made her second appearance looking very chic. She wore a pair of maurices black stretch skinny leg jeans. Katie combined a maurices brown and bronze print tee under a long sleeve beige open-front cardigan. A maurices Rachel boot in cognac pulled this fun and hot look together. It’s great for a day of shopping or for that special date!
