2010 Wag 'n Walk and Dog Splash

T-Town PAWS held its inaugural Wag 'n Walk and fourth annual Dog Splash on October 9, 2010. The events were a huge success, bringing in hundreds of participants and helping to raise over $5,500 in funds for T-Town PAWS' animal welfare mission.

Wag 'n Walk 5k

Participants enjoyed a sunny Saturday, running (or walking) with (or without) their dogs on a certified 5k race course.  Pawprint medals were awarded to first, second, and third place age group winners.

The Tuscaloosa Track Club has the Wag 'n Walk race results posted on their Web site. Our top three DOG winners were Blazen and his owner Blake Deavors, Dan Daley and his dog and Sadie and her owner Elizabeth Davis.  Dogs received their very own pawprint dog tags!

Dog Splash

Wag 'n Walk was immediately followed up by our fourth annual Dog Splash.  Individuals and families brought their dogs to swim in the University of Alabama outdoor pool.  This year's event featured children's activities like moonwalk and face painting.  The American Red Cross West Alabama Chapter brought pet first aid resources.  Participants even had the opportunity to Walk "Naked" - our loveable, adoptable pooch, that is - for T-Town PAWS!
