About T-Town P.A.W.S.

T-Town P.A.W.S. is an organization dedicated to making Tuscaloosa County an even better place to live. Our mission is to provided spaying/neutering for animals of low-income families and to better educate the public, especially children, to be compassionate, responsible pet owners. P.A.W.S. is also the lead agency of the $2,000,000 Maddie’s Fund grant. P.A.W.S. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Founded in 1997 by a small group of caring citizens, T-Town P.A.W.S. has never lost sight of its goal. We want to eliminate the need to euthanize perfectly healthy adoptable animals at the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter. By reducing the number of animals being taken to Metro because of additional spaying/neutering and education by P.A.W.S., the number of animas being euthanized will go down. Through the generosity of P.A.W.S. members and the bequests and donations of countless caring individuals, thousands of animals have been sterilized.

P.A.W.S. has made a claim, throughout the State of Alabama, that we want to be the first “No Kill” County in our state. We need the entire community’s help to accomplish this!
