In 2009 alone, T-Town PAWS rescued, cared for, and spayed or neutered nearly 700 unwanted animals from our community's shelter - animals who otherwise faced euthanasia for lack or space or time at the shelter. Your donations are greatly needed.

More About Donating

T-Town PAWS appreciates all donations, no matter what form or size, to support our community programming including pet rescue, humane education and spay/neuter.  We are 100% supported by our local community.

Donations must be completed/mailed by December 31st in order to take a charitable tax deduction in that tax year.

Here are some of the many ways you can donate to T-Town PAWS:

Gift of Money

Donating money is always welcome and fully tax-deductible. T-Town PAWS accepts donations in the form of cash, check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

In-Kind Donation

Donating supplies are very appreciated and help us keep our programming costs down. Please view our list of suggested items that are needed for pet rescue. You can also consider hosting a supply drive or party.

Planned Giving

Traditionally, many potential donors have assumed that the only possibly gift is an outright gift of money. While we welcome and encourage outright gifts, there are other ways to support T-Town PAWS. In fact, there are many ways you can share your love for the animals through what is known as planned giving.

Planned giving is simply charitable gifts made during your lifetime or in your will that may consist of case, securities, personal property, life insurance or even real estate. Because the tax laws generally favor charitable giving, you may be rewarded for your gift through substantial tax reductions.

Gift of Stock

Historically, year-end is a popular time for making stock gifts. In fact, many stock gifts occur during the fourth quarter of the year. Many thoughtful donor review their stock portfolio and select those stocks that have appreciated substantially. These donors give stock instead of cash because they can take a deduction for the full market value of their securities.

Gift of Bonds or Real Estate

Donating appreciated assets creates a win-win situation where you may be entitled to deduct the full fair market value of your assets by giving them directly to T-Town PAWS instead of selling them.

Gift of Living Will or Trust

Wills or living trusts are an excellent way to donated to T-Town PAWS. The major advantage of these gifts is that you maintain full use of your gift assets during your lifetime and may substantially lessen your estate's tax liability.

Gift in Honor

Recognize a family member, friend or colleague for an event like a birthday, wedding, anniversary or volunteer service - or even honor that special pet!

Gifts in Memory

Recognize someone dear - person or pet - who has passed away and celebrate his or her life.

Gifts in Honor and Gifts in Memory

These are messages that speak to the depth of emotion and the sense of connection that are an integral part of any relationship.  T-Town PAWS takes special care with these gifts. The person being honored is promptly notified about the gift and who made it. For gifts that memorialized the deceased, the family is promptly notified. Dollar amounts are not revealed, only the sentiment is conveyed.  We just ask, in making your gift, that you provide us the name of the person you wish to honor/memorialize and the occasion, along with the name and full address of the person to receive the acknowledgment. Donor and recipient will be listed in our annual report of donors. By making such a gift you are not only honoring or memorializing those who deserve recognition, you are investing in a valuable community resource - T-Town PAWS.
